What’s New in Good Bards: Web Scraping Upgrades, Tenant Sharing & MCP Support

Updated: Jul 30

We’re excited to introduce a major set of updates designed to make your Good Bards experience faster, more secure, and vastly more connected. In this release, we’ve completely rebuilt our web scraping architecture to run on the server side—eliminating 403 errors and adding smart caching—and launched beta support for direct tenant-to-tenant asset sharing. Plus, with new MCP Server connectivity, you can now seamlessly bridge Good Bards with external AI tools and third-party enterprise data sources.

Good Bards Web Scraping

To extract data in a controlled and scheduled manner, we moved our web scraping capabilities from the client side to the server side. The key benefits of doing are

  • It has eliminated potential 403 errors caused by web server controls

  • Allows us to build in a caching mechanism to prevent over scraping. If more than one party wants to scrape the same page, caching can control access.

  • It allows crawl features where you can configure the depth and maximum pages to process

  • RSS feeds can be crawled

Beta release of enhanced sharing of assets and content from tenant to tenant. The new capabilities include:

  • Sharing of folders. You can share entire folders

  • Sharing of individual assets. It is now possible to share an individual post.

  • Cloning capability for the recipient of a shared asset

With MCP Server and connectivity, Good Bards now has yet another option to connect for data extraction. You can read more about this here. https://www.goodbards.com/post/connecting-ai-to-enterprise-data-the-layer-every-solution-skips

  • We now allow connections to third-party servers

  • We now allow other AI interfaces to connect to Good Bards (Note: More tools and functions will be added over time)
